Disposing of urine in the POC world

Just kind of wondering what other institutions processes are for disposing of POC urine samples after testing has been completed.  Do you dump urines down a dirty sink or toilet, have hoppers installed, throw the container and all in a biohazard waste bin or any other ways of disposing?  Our hospital quality group want me to conduct this poll.  Thanks in advance!

All your options are used here and also removing the patient identifier from the UA cup and disposing in regular trash.  Urine is not considered biohazardous if its not bloody and therefor can go in the regular trash.  The patient identifier (typically a sticker) can NOT go in the regular trash, that would be HIPPA violation.

We dump out urine, take off sticker, then throw cup in regular trash. Our garabages are disposed of once a week and cups become stagnate when urine is left in the cup.
