pCO2 instrument comparison differences on i-STAT vs GEM4000

Does anyone use both the i-STAT and GEM4000 for blood gases? I am struggling a bit with instrument comparisons. CAP states their allowable error of pCO2 is 5mmHg or 8%. I seem to always have a a few values on the biannual instrument comparisons that are slightly larger than the CAP acceptable range. Has anyone else had their CLIA director approve ranges that are larger than what CAP states? If so, what are you ranges?
