QC used with Atago Urine SG device

Anyone who is using Atago Urine SG device - what are you using for QC? I'm new to this location and there is no record of why we are using Sentry urine QC - it does not have any listed ranges for manual refractometry urine SG (all for strips) so I have no idea where our QC ranges came from (and neither does anyone else in the department, this is the only location that uses these devices). Looking for new QC.

Hello Jill,

We use MAS UA controls to QC our Digital Refractometers daily.

We use MAS UA controls also with no issues. Since you are new to that location you might want to look into the annual calibration requirement if you are CAP accredited. We were cited for this about 6 years ago because back then, the requirement was not on the POC checklist and I was not familiar with the UA checklist.
