Hello! We just went live with Avox 4000 and realized that they remove the EQC frequency lockout. Anyone has Avox 4000 and what's the QC policy for the Optical Filters (EQC)? I saw the operator's manual and the requirement was only daily and currently our QC policy is running EQC every 8 hours.

Hi Rossana - We currently have the 4000 and have only run the optical filters once daily per day of patient testing.
Just curious, why were you running q8 hours? Technically, this is cooximetry, not blood gas testing (pH, pCO2, pO2), so the CAP q8 hour requirement for QC with blood gas shouldn't apply.
@ James Beck, we originally have Avox 1000E and the QC policy is already set as running EQC every 8 hours. We grandfathered what we got and adopted it to Avox 4000
I'd change the policy then :)
