I'm suggesting that you (in writing) check in (then save response) with the facility's 'Environmental Health & Safety' or whatever is set up for the facility that oversees all the tedious guidelines to follow. If you as the POCC don't know who that is then the leadership of that testing site using the microscope should know because they have other rules they must follow.
Both inpatient and outpatient/MD offices - many rules to follow, such as 'do not store supplies in external cardboard shipping boxes' type of rules, including when/where to install eyewashes, fire extinguishes and other safety equipment. Behind the facility rules are a variety of local, state, federal rules plus meeting 'Environment of Care' standards set by the accreditation of the facility/practice.
Just a thought.
