How can I determine the SD for ACT? CAP says +/- 3 SD but how do I know what the SD is?
Situation: Cath Lab has two i-stat devices. They questioned the results of one, so in addition to QC, I had them run patient correlation. Just trying to determine what the exact number is that they need to be within.
Thank you!

I was always taught to look at a recent PT survey and select the SD of the result closest to the data you are looking at. Then determine 3 SD. The resource above says to use the median SD.
Happy Monday :)
