Anticoag / Coumadin Clinic oversight

Hi everyone,
I'm curious how others are managing their hospital-based anticoag clinic. Who oversees the providers? Lab or pharmacy? Or someone else? As the POCC, I'm overseeing the INR testing and our lab outreach manager is overseeing the clinic side, including the providers.
Thanks!

Good morning, Danielle. I oversee the POC PT/INR in the A/C Clinic in my hospital. I monitor the training, competency, and the equipment and supplies. The pharmacists work in Pharmacy when they are not in the Clinic, but the clinic testing falls under the POC purview.
Hello Danielle. I am responsible for the CoaguCheks making sure that QC is ran and all competencies are met. I also have them run Proficiency Testing. Our Coumadin/Infusion clinic falls under Pharmacy and they also get the income from the office visits. I would also think that it plays a role in where the income goes and who pays for supplies. I basically take care of anything to do with the CLIA aspect of it and Pharmacy does the rest.
