Solicited interface while using iSTAT devices

Happy Monday Everyone
Is anyone in the group using iSTAT devices for ABG testing with UniPOC solicited interface? We were informed that when tests are performed by Respiratory Therapists (which is over 80%) they need to use solicited interface, and when tests are performed by RNs it can still remain as unsolicited.
Is anyone familiar with this process? We are a part of TENET, Level 1 Trauma hospital.
