Nova StatStrip strip vials - infection control

For those of you that use the Nova StatStrip glucose meters, how do you manage the strip vials? Our current glucose meters have individually wrapped strips so there is no concern about cross contamination from one patient to the next. Are you taking the same vial into multiple patient's rooms?

No, the users are instructed to:
- Retrieve the necessary supplies for the test: (a glucose strip, a lancet, gauze, bandaid, alcohol wipe... etc)
- Login to the StatStrip
- Scan the glucometer strip vial
- Take supplies and glucometer into the patients room and perform the fingerstick
- Scan patient wristband
- Perform test
- Glucometer gets wiped down with Clorox wipe after leaving room
