PPMP Competency - under Joint Commission

We have our PPMP program under Joint Commission and are currently struggling with how to do the 6 elements of competency assessment with each provider. We are using an online program to have them review slides and document their responses but we can not figure out how to get our arms around the rest of the competency requirements, i.e. direct observation. What is everyone else doing?

If the MD is in the residency program then a faculty who is attending when the resident comes through that rotate needs to take the time to observe.
It may be different for private practices that there doesn't have to be a 'lead' MD but if there is, although difficult to engage some of these MDs who are specialists, maybe you could find one who was willing to observe? It's in their best interest that everyone they are partnering with is 'good at their job'.
