Greetings, I haven't been on the bench for a very long time, and even longer away from the POCT arena. I am curious to see if there are still external QC materials in use and the types of associated testing. I appreciate any feedback everyone here can offer. Thanks. VMC

Yes most test systems utilize external QC, many or most manufactures have recommendations as to what QC material to use for their test system. If you would specify the systems you are looking at you will get a more specific response to the QC needed.

Yes we use external QC for all our POCT instruments just at different frequencies.
Storage requirements of QC would be dictated in its "Instructions For Use" IFU for it. You would need prof of meeting these requirements for your regulatory body.
