Triage Meter vs. i-STAT for Trops and BNPS

Hello Everyone
Looking at both the Quidel Triage Meter and i-STAT for performing Trops and BNPS. Testing would be a back-up for our main chemistry analyzer. Do you use IQCPs and if so how often are you running QC? Any insight would be appreciated! Thank you

I have worked with both and if you develop an IQCP, you need to run device QC every day for Triage and simulator for i-stat but as far as external liquid QC , it will be required once per month, once per shipment, once per new lot, and once per new operator.
I did not use BNP on i-stat only troponin, but I have used Triage for both trop and BNP.
BNP on Triage if you use EDTA whole blood is classified as waived.
Good luck,
Ellie
