What kind of Lead testing does everyone do for POC?

None.  Because cost of testing is generally covered by county/state programs, vulnerable populations generally are required to send samples to the county-designated testing labs rather than perform on site.

We are planning a verification of Magellan Leadcare II soon, to capture patients while in the exam room as they often don't visit our phlebotomy labs post visit.
James, how are your clinics collecting and sending to the state? That is our plan if we don't go with our POC option.

Thanks,

Andrew

We use the Magellan Leadcare II in all of our Delaware clinics that are under our system.  For our inpatients and Pa and NJ clinics we send them out for testing.

Andrew, I stand corrected, just found out our clinics are now sending pediatric leads to Quest labs.  Sample is collected in the office during the visit in an EDTA microtainer.  Quest addresses notifying both the requesting office and the county of any elevated results.
