SO2 Alternative Assessment

We were recently told by Radiometer that our ABL90 SO2 is a "measured" analyte, not "calculated", so we need to perform an alternative assessment. How are you handling this at your facility? If comparing Radiometer to iSTAT, how many devices are you using? Thank you all in advance, any input is appreciated.

I've had very similar circular conversations regarding this with other system vendors.
Question: Does the Radiometer Cal/Ver have a sO2 reference range in the value assignment sheet for it? If it doesn't, ask them why not.
We fill out the APA Test List form (from the CAP website) twice a year using a known sample.
Using the ABL90 QC material you can be use (levels 2 & 3 only) but must be ran under [Ampule- QC] mode in the ABL90 in order to get an SO2 result.
We usually have an employee run the "known sample" during their semiannual direct observations, and then they sign the APA Test list form.
