Waived Creatinine testing for i-STAT

We recently purchased an i-STAT for our outpatient imaging center for waived creatinine testing only.  I am trying to prepare for our go-live and wanting to work on preparing our policies and what I should expect for validation.  Does anyone have any policies they would be willing to share? Or what you all did for your validation process?  I know the testing is waived, but we will still need to do a validation.  We have not had i-STATs before so this is a totally new process.  We will be having Meditech perform our GFR calculations ones results are uploaded since the i-STAT does not perform the GFR calculation.  My email is aholland@catawbavalleymc.org if you would prefer to respond via email.  Thanks for any input!
