Abbott ID NOW and RALS

Hello everyone! I'm the Point of Care Coordinator for a physician-owned multispecialty group with about 36 offices currently performing waived flu/covid testing. We currently use the Sofia 2 analyzer but are looking to make the switch to molecular testing on the Abbott ID NOW. We would need to utilize RALS to interface the ID NOW instruments and were wondering if anyone has had experience with this particular setup that would be willing to speak with me and my laboratory services manager. Please feel free to email me at sara.goodman@tpmgpc.com. TIA.

Sara: Just an FYI. I wanted to make you aware of Relaymed (www.relaymed.com) if you are not already. Relaymed is middleware specifically designed for ambulatory POC testing environments like yours. If you have a chance, please check it out. We connect to most of the devices commonly used and to most EHRs.
Abbott ID now is connected via Relaymed in a large number of our customer clinic locations. Our set-up is simple, cost effective connects all devices at one price.

We have Abbott ID Now instruments in the clinic and they are all hooked up to RALS.

We have 5 ID NOWs and they are all connected RALS. No issues. It has the capability for operator lock out.

I am in the middle of a 40 instrument interface project to Epic via RALS.  I'm following along to compare notes.
