QML OPERATOR EXPORT FOR CAP LIST

Does anyone have an easy way to export the operator list from QML that includes the initial date of certification?  We need it for submission to CAP but we are new to QML and that column is not present when we export.

Hi Ivy - the last time I needed something like that, Telcor had to do it from the server/database. I think newer versions of QML now have more options but I don't know what those are.

Hi Ivy,

Does CAP need to know of the initial certification dates of operators?  We have never been asked for that before...only for a list of non-laboratory testing personnel.  We keep all certification documents in electronic format for inspectors to see, but have never submitted to CAP as a general list.

you only need to supply the Non-Waived personnel.  ACT, Blood Gas, Avoximeter.  The waived testing, you don't need to provide a current list of operators.  they might ask to see your training checklist, or competency for waived, i randomly pull someone that has just finished.

The template we received from our QA person has the date listed; apparently we submitted it 2 years ago although previously I did not remember including it.  With RALS it was easy so QML is a big change for us.

Regulatorily we are required to be able to provide a list of our users, however it would be very beneficial to a inspector to have a list of users that have been hired within the past 2 years so they could at their first year competencies.

I am working with Telcor as well to get this list. The last i heard they have pulled data from the server and saved as a csv file. I just have to figure out how to access the server to find the file :(
I have downloaded from Telcor all the operators and have spent 2 days working to compile 400 team members. We are thinking about documenting the initial moderate complexity test name and training date in the Title field since it will show up in Excel when I export operators from the Operators tab, Certified Device Types.

We input it in the Hire Date field so we could sort by that. Not ideal since does not exactly match the hire month and year but were desperate. That being said, the person tasked with this could not wait to figure out how to export it all from QML so has been rebuilding the whole spreadsheet manually. 3000+ mod-complex staff.

The nonwaived non-laboratory operator list had to be created when I started this position nearly four years ago. All operators were exported into a csv document, converted to Excel workbook and then tracked down initial training (start of patient testing) date and first two years of competency assessments for all operators who had started within the previous two years. That's really what they are looking for. Initial training and competency dates through the first two years are kept in the spreadsheet. Once two years are completed, I no longer list the start date, just the most recently completed competency assessment. CAP doesn't track per test system, i.e. Signature Elite and ABL800 Flex, on the non-laboratory nonwaived operator list (even though I do). The spreadsheet made it easier for me to track which competency (first 2 assessments within 12 months of starting, then annual) is due and track comments as to why retraining was required, i.e. missed their 6-month by more than a month, missed the 12-month, etc.) or other corrective action when a manager calls with questions.

Thanks to all.  I thought they only wanted the past two years too but regardless changing systems really put a bug-a-boo on us.  I would have thought QML would have had that info readily available to export but we are still learning.
