Hello Friends,
Has anyone successfully utilized an application for completion of training checklists via a digital means? I've been building and testing different application in our LMS and Microsoft suite, but nothing is quite robust enough to balance documentation, security, accessibility, and usability. I'm very curious if any healthcare institutions out there have found something that works before I start diving into third party vendors.

We have all our Training Checklist, Post Test, Semiannual & Competency tests in Healthstreams!
We also use HealthStream. It works well for us. We use it for policy review, tests, and checklists for training and competency.
So glad to see others using Healthstream for training/competency. We currently have our CBTs and exam on Healthstream for most of our POC platforms. We are going live next month with our electronic checklists for the AVOX, Gem 5000 and our Gem Hemochron 100. Nurse management is beyond excited as am I.
Our nursing team has converted to Kahuna learning system where all initial training and annual competency is logged. We also utilize workday for all POCT courses. It has been a game changer. We are able to pull reports for completed training and update our middleware for certification. Better tracking and no more papers! Everything is logged in real time.
How are direct observations documented in HealthStream?
We also utilize HealthStream for testing, training and competency records. For direct observations, the trainer will log a Learning Record and type an additional sentence in the comment box which displays on the employee's transcript. The Learning Record is simply our skill checklist, including the direct observation. This is very convenient especially during any inspection!
I don't use HealthStreams since I'm not able to easily make changes. I started using Wufoo online forms that you can build any way you can imagine. I also am able to imbed videos, photos, etc. Email if you'd like more information. lori.ferguson@stvin.org
