For sites that have multiple GEM blood gas analyzers, what do you use for comparing methhemoglobin, carboxyhemoglobin, oxy and deoxyhemoglobin across the instruments?
Thanks in advance for your replies!

Lois- we have 5 GEM 5000'S.  We run 5 patient samples and compare it to a GEM that has been designated as the reference.  We use the CAP allowable limits for acceptability.

Thanks Karen! I have 24 GEMs and am looking for something that would be stable enough to run on all instruments across a couple of days. I use PVP for all the other analytes but am looking for something that includes the HGB fractions. CAP has an SO Quality Cross check kit but  it only contains 3 vials. I may also look at using RNA Medical CVC kit.

Our institution has 12 GEM4000 analyzers. We use the manufacturer system evaluators level 1, 2, 3. We also use the CAP TEA (Total allowable error) and compare to 2019: CLIA proposed changes to PT acceptable limits - Westgard our director likes to always have a tighter TEA. Hope this helps.
