POC Waived Lead Testing

For those of you involved with POC waived lead testing. Is the Lead Care II device still the only POC waived testing device available? What is the current status of the availability of kits for this?

To my knowledge, that is the only waived option.  We've had no issues getting product since their debacle was resolved.

I haven't heard of any other waived lead tests currently on the market. Our Leadcare II kits have been backordered for about a month. Tech support indicated they were shipping kits the end of September, however, I don't believe any of our clinics have received them yet.

I thought they were in the middle of another reagent recall.  We just received a recall notice last week.

Hi Stephanie -

Are you able to post the recall notice you received?

I am not comfortable sharing the recall notice as it says confidential and proprietary.  Currently it says that it is a voluntary recall.  If you use the Leadcare II analyzer I would suggest reaching out to your sales rep or calling the company directly if you are experiencing a delay in receiving product.  I apologize that I could not provide more information.
