Patient /method comparison EG7+ iStat

We are revalidating the iStat for one of our departments but having issues with the EG7+ cartridges and the pO2 and pCO2 comparison. They sometimes do not correlate to the main lab Nova Prime Plus. Any ideas? We run 5 patients. How do you go about the 8% and /or 3SD TAE from CAP? Can we increase the TAE? Thanks!

We attempted to validate the Nova Prime Plus device at our facility. We had a lot of trouble having the Nova Prime Plus staying within the TAE for several analytes including PO2. When we compared the Prime Plus device to the lab and to the istat, the istats would compare normally to the lab (not great, but within TAE), but the Prime plus device after cartridge changes or even the next day, the results for the Prime Plus would drift away from the lab and the istats.
