Critical Care Areas and Glucose Testing

Would someone be willing to explain to me the regulations regarding Waived vs Non-waived glucose testing in critical care areas using Accuchek - like I am new here? Thank you.

We've used the INFORM II since it's release. It's more a matter of 'critically ill patient' moreso than the meter being used in a critial care area.
If you want to email me directly, I may be able to help you (pmann@utmb.edu). It would be helpful if you could share with me the INFORM II lab policy/SOP you inherited from the previous POCC. This is not a 'new thing', been out there for many years to have had to nail down.
