EPOC error codes

We have 4 EPOC's that we use in our neonatal ICU.   Beginning in Sept we began to see an increase in the number of error , especially 3 (IQC Calibration fluid not detected)  49( Sample deliver) and 50 (fluidics check).
Our total errors have been running over between 12-15%.  We had one EPOC that had 40% error rate in NOV ( will are replacing it.)  I have sent all the information to service , no pattern with operator, lot, and other than one EPOC the other continue to have increased errors.   Anyone else seeing this or have tips for improving the rates?

TIA

We have had this issue also. We were informed that it was due to liquid in the meter and instructed to let the meter sit overnight to dry out. Going through records, the meter operated fine in previous lot of cards and didn't start giving errors until we switched lots. Most recently we had this issue while trying to verify a new reader that had never been put into use, so we placed another call to have them look into the lot of cards we were using. This was a month or so ago and never received a response from tech support. Needless to say we are in a different lot now and have not been having any issues. I believe it is the card and not the reader.

Hi Diana and Allie,

Which lot of cards were giving the increase in error rates? Curious as I am looking at my epoc errors for this month.

It was lot 04-23238-30 of the orange cards.

I have seen this issue with one of my meters and was instructed the same as Allie.  We are also using the orange cards but have seen it over a couple of different lots.  I do see it on my other meters but not as frequently.  It did improve after I let the meter sit overnight, but I'm still seeing it sporadically - hard to tell if meter or test card or what.  I'm not glad to see that others are having the issue, but I do feel less crazy now!

I was told the same regarding letting the meter sit overnight and the first time I did it, the errors decreased slightly for about a week.  On that meter Error code 3 was over 30% of the errors.  We have used a variety of lot numbers while I have been tracking. These are the most recent.

Does anyone have an update on this?  I just called in again today about 2 more devices that just randomly started having these errors.  I really don't think it's a device issue - it would be a huge coincidence if I had 3 devices that were going out at the same time, especially since some of the devices have lower usage rates.  The card lots I have seen this issue on are (orange card):
