Guidelines for POC Instrument Implementation and Validation

I am trying to streamline our current policy for POC instrument validations and would greatly appreciate anyone who would be willing to share what their institution uses. I would be happy to share my policy as well looking for any feedback. Ours feels a little hard to follow especially trying to decipher between validations for non-waived vs waived testing.

Hi Lindsey,
What type of instrumentation are you currently using?

If you are performing verification on moderate testing or meeting the minimum requirements for waived testing, of course you would want to follow your procedure that will assist in meeting your accreditation requirements. I really like the Westgard website that offers lots of information about method validation/verification with tools like books, webinars and programs you can learn from. They even have some suggested statistical formulas to use. www.westgard.com
