Pro-BNP and Hs-Trop

Good afternoon!

We are currently looking for reliable testing platforms for Pro-BNP and Hs-Trop as back-up methods to our main lab.  We currently use iSTATs as a backup method, but Abbott does not offer either of these test cartridges.

These tests will be used in an Emergency Room setting (that does not accept ambulance traffic and main lab closes at 8p every day and is not open on the weekends). Non-laboratory personnel will be running these tests in a stat fashion.

We appreciate everyone's input!

Last I looked/inquired: there is no POC Hs-Trop test out on the market similar to the iSTAT.  I've been told that a couple manufactures are trying to develop one but is most likely years out.
I do know there is a hS-Trop desktop system that markets itself as POC but it really is more of a lab analyzer, I know my floor users would never accept it.

If someone knows differently I'd like to hear...

We are implementing the PathFast instrument. I believe it still does the TropI, but will soon be getting the FDA clearance (that's what the company says) for hsTrop. We are receiving the instrument today so I haven't actually set my eyes on it yet. But might be worth looking into.
