Interfaced Urine Chemistry QC

I use Telcor to interface our POC testing. We have been able to get away from patient QC logs for some of our waived testing in the practices by using our interface data and programming the device to lock out if QC does not pass or is not ran on time. Does anyone have a similar set up? I am specifically looking to do this with the Clinitek Status +. If you do....Can you help a girl out?

Looking to see how you all get the Ambulatory locations to program the QC ranges and acceptability criteria as needed. And....how do you review for process completion?

I have RALS right now but we may be going to Telcor in a few years.

Have you called Siemens yet?

I am not sure about Telcor lockouts for the Clinitek, although we do use Telcor to monitor our Clinitek controls. The Clinitek Status+ allows for control programming and lockout. We do our programming that way. We program a specific time and day(s) of the week for controls (both urine dip and pregnancy). If the controls do not pass, the instrument cannot be used until they do pass.

I use the Clinitek Status+ and Telcor. I use the control functions on the Clinitek for QC lockouts.

We do the same as Debra, configuring QC lockout on the Clinitek itself.

Same as Debra and I'll go on to add that if you look at the QC over several lots they don't really change, Level 1 is negative for everything and Level 2 is moderate or greater.  You can set the QC to Pass or Fail on the instrument and not involve the middleware at all.  IMO that would be the easiest set up.

We also configure the QC lockout on the Clinitek itself.

We have the connect added to our Status+ that allows the QC lockout and interfacing with Telcor.  Before we had Connects we had our Cliniteks connected with Telcor I don't think there was true QC lockout (it was a while ago so I'm not 100%).

Yes, we use the Clinitek Status + and we use for both urinalysis and pregnancy testing.  We have QC lockout.  We use Telcor.   If you need screenshots, let me know, but Telcor is really good about assisting with setup if you call them.  I have had only good experiences when we need help from them.
