CAP Quality Cross Check

Has anyone successfully used the AQQ as a means of instrument correlation between Blood Gas Lytes and Lab Chemistry? We had an extra cross check available so I tried it on the Atellica and the comparison failed, probably as to be expected since the matrix is so different. Curious if anyone has been successful at using these any cross checks across instrument matrices and if you adjusted your allowable errors rates, or just scrapped that as an option altogether.

I have never tried a commercial QC product or CAP product (PT or QCC) across platforms, anticipating the incompatibility you identified when attempted. I have only used whole blood, which is the preferred material anyway, since the goal is to ensure there are not significant differences in results when patient samples are tested across various platforms.
We use QCCs on POC analyzers (one platform or analyzer type) but use patient samples as James does for comparisons across different platforms.
