I am curious about what tests others are using for POC HIV-1/2 Ag/Ab Combo testing. What is your institution using? Pros and cons?

Thank you!

I oversee an Infectious Disease clinic that uses this one:  https://www.globalpointofcare.abbott/us/en/product-details/determine-1-2-ag-ab-combo.html

We haven't had any issues other than a brief backorder last year. Easy to use. Long outdates. We use capillary whole blood only. We've used this kit for numerous years (it used to be Alere, now its Abbott).

We've been using Determine HIV 1/2 Ag/Ab combo (Abbott) since 2015.  We too use capillary blood only.  Staff are trained on proper capillary blood collection, and performing the test.  No issues reported.   I recommend it.
