HemoCue replacement

Our Renal clinic has been using the HemoCue DM Hb 201 system for years, and they're now looking to upgrade. Does anyone have recommendations for other devices that measure hemoglobin? We’re considering upgrade to HemoCue 801 but are open to other suggestions. We're looking for a low-operation cost device that measures hemoglobin only.

We use the Hb801 and staff love it. Does not require daily QC

we have HemoControl (Hemo Point) device, very simple and easy to operate for Hgb and Hct tests.

Alexandr - is the Hemo Point CLIA waived?

yes, it is CLIA waived. Capillary blood test. Please visit their website https://www.ekfdiagnostics.com/hemo-control-analyzer.html

We use the Hb801 in our ambulatory sites, and it's very easy to use and we get very few reported issues from end users. Our biggest issue currently is that it's not interface compatible with Telcor.
