Waived Competency at Multiple CLIA sites

My question is about waived competency for different CLIA locations.

We are currently transitioning to electronic competencies and will no longer store paper competencies at the clinics, but instead have these accessible via our hospital's learning platform.  This transition has brought up a question about multiple CLIA clinics and sharing staff.

If multiple clinics, each with a separate waived CLIA certificate accredited by TJC, share employees who perform identical waived POCT, does each employee need to show competency for each CLIA site, or will an electronic competency for the test system, provided by the hospital system's learning platform, be sufficient?

I appreciate your time in reviewing my questions.

It is my understanding that as long as it is waived testing only, this is acceptable.  Only for moderately complex and higher is there a requirement to have location-specific training/competency.

I have a statement at the end of my waived competencies that states " The employee is hereby
competent to perform this test under the following CLIA licensures" and list the CLIA number at each
site that performs the testing.

Good Morning!  May I have the CLIA number that you used to support.  Thank you!
