We are a large system and are struggling with keeping track of all elements of non-waived competency (including traceability). Do any of you utilize a program specifically made to do this virtually? We have Healthstream in our system, but we don't think it meets our needs.
I use online forms that have the ability to link a pdf result to our individual competencies. I also have the 6 elements of competency assessment and how I meet those criteria that I check off for each associate. The platform is Wufoo and our facility has a paid version. It is extremely flexible. Our facility is fairly small, but you could probably utilize something like this on a larger scale. PM me if you'd like more details.
We recently started using Medialab. I built our own library. It took a while to build all department competencies. I’m still in the process of updating and refining some quizzes, though. I hope it is much better than our paper competency binders. :)
We use HealthStream for our POC competencies. I have courses for each POC testing platform built that have a policy link for review, a quiz, and a checklist. The employee must complete the first 2 portions before the checklist can be completed. The checklist is completed by either myself, or another approved Technical Consultant after the direct observation has been performed. The checklist has each of the required 6-elements of competency listed for me to mark as met and then I upload and attach a file with the blind sample records to the checklist.
We use CornerStone software which is very similar to HealthStream. Courses are built for the specific system which includes a power point, Quiz and attestation. Some also include manufacturer's videos. After the eLearning is completed the user must complete a SuperUser review and Skill-check with passing QC. The Skill-check documentation gets scanned into a shared system folder and the hard copies are saved in the employee records.
The Skill-check documentation covers the 6 required components.
CornerStone Elearning completions are uploaded into the POC middleware (Telcor QML) for easy confirmation in the users account that it was completed. User access to the analyzers is controlled through Telcor QML.
