Hi all, For those with CoaguChek XS meters, do you have any additional quality measures in place due to the lack of external QC? (I know the meter has an internal QC with every test)
Our facility has an automated weekly report to compare POC INR to main lab INR when the patient happened to have both on the same day. These traditionally correlate well, but I'm interested in hearing what other systems may be doing. Thanks!
There is external QC available. Roche does not require it though. We have our staff perform it monthly and new lot or new shipment of strips. image.png
When I was using it at my old office we would send a sample for correlation to the main hospital laboratory and keep them in a record log. Maybe every 3-6 months for comparison.
