Cepheid Xpert HCV

I have a site that has a grant and is going to purchase the Cepheid Xpert and run HCV tests only. Does anyone run this? I have some worry over the fingerstick with the microtainer since I remember these being tricky with the EDTA and sample clotting.
Any insight/tips or tricks would be helpful.
