IQCP for Hemochron Gem H100 ACT

I am trying to get an IQCP approved for the ACT GEM H100. We are currently running LQCs every 8 hours. Big problem for Cath Lab Nurses! I am seeking perspective on addressing a question on a concern about the EQC meeting an 8-hour QC requirement, if EQC actually checks for assay function of the device.
Welcoming insights that might be valuable for navigating the discussion with Admin approving the IQCP.
Thanks in advance!

Ah!!! Q8 is a lot!
I have our IQCP set for weekly. Seems like most facilities do monthly but I would probably never drop lower than weekly at our facility. I completely rewrote our IQCP the other year when upgrading to the GEM100s. Emailing you a copy.

would love a copy too if you don't mind sharing :)

Ken! Me too please. We are looking to change to the GEM100s in Q4 this year. Any insight you have on quality and risk mitigation is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I would love a copy as well. Amanda.Bullwinkle@pennmedicine.upenn.edu

We wrestled with this ourselves and decided that we could do q8 hour QC for one day, then weekly, then monthly as we do with our q24 hour tests.

Thanks, Ken for a speedy response! Appreciate this greatly.

Ken, if you don't mind. Could you email a copy as well? We are currently switching to the GH100's from the Signature Elite. chad.morton@mercy.net

Hi Ken,

Would love a copy stephen.wong@hhs.sccgov.org

Ken I would love a copy of anything you are willing to share.  We are looking to add one to our Cardiology department.  Thanks.  meand@colquittregional.com

Could I get a copy also?  We are transitioning from the Elite to the 100.

Thanks!

Hi Ken,
We have been using the Hemochron Signature Elite for many years and run QC monthly. We will be upgrading to the Gem 100 this year. I would appreciate a copy of your IQCP. How do you like the Gem 100? Pros/Cons?
Thank you very much in advance.

Hello all! Since this seems to be very much in need, I'm going to post this right here:
Hemochron ACT IQCP 2.xlsx
Looks like saving/uploading the excel file changed the page formatting, but is easy to fix.

Writing IQCPs is a nightmare. Feel free to send any questions about my risk assessments. I definitely have feelings about ACT testing. LOL.

Thanks for the share!!! There was a lot of interest. Feelings....LOL

Good Morning,
How is everyone handling the wording in the package insert that states "repeat the test.....these warnings are system messages, not clinical values, and should not be used for patient-management decisions.
Thank you for any insight you have,
Patty

Thank you Ken for sharing your IQCP!  A real nightmare when you have not had the analyzer in the past
Thanks again,
Patty
