Piccolo Express for Baby Bilirubin

I have a site who is asking about using the Piccolo Express for baby bilirubins since they are having issues with the outpatient lab drawing them. Can anyone tell me if they use this? I understand that you usually use the Hepatic Disk and it's via a Venipuncture draw (CLIA Waived).
Thank you.
Thank you.

I saw your post on the discussion board. I am the Piccolo Rep in Washington. I am happy to answer questions. I have attached a PDF with the Piccolo's testing options for reference. The Hepatic Panel is a Moderate Complex test. It is the Direct Bilirubin that makes it Moderate. Most Pediatrics use the CLIA Waived CMP for total Bilirubin. Obviously, it depends on the Providers though and if they feel Total Bilirubin is sufficient. It does require a Green top venipuncture draw to remain Waived. If I can answer additional questions, here is my phone 208-640-6944 and email: brent.byers@abbott.com.
