Gem 100 Operator List

We are transitioning to the Gem 100 from the Signature Elites. We have notices POC operators unable to log into all devices. We have added/removed users, assigned devices to different location to try and force an update to go to the device and some will not pick up the change. Does anyone have a trick to have the Gems accept updates? On some devices we are locked out from the supervisor setting due to it not liking our log in information, but everything we have tried is correct.

We have tried everything listed on the GH100 Device Tips sheet from Telcor to trigger an operator list. We are stumped! Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!

Hello, the trick I use to get the updates to pick up is to run an EQC... it will send the results over and update the configuration afterwards. See if that works for you!

Hi Jessica,
We are in the early process of converting to the GEM 100 from the Sig Elite. We have also the same issue with the supervisor settings on the two devices connected to Telcor. My rep told me once connected to Telcor, the login is the telcor one, but mine doesn't work. Let me know if you figure this out!

Hi Jessica,

Are you trying to send more operators than the device can hold? That can be a problem at larger sites.

Thanks,
Kim

Hi Jessica- We have been struggling with some of the same issues.  One of the main causes, at my facility was a known issue with the WiFi vendor (Aruba).  The devices were just unable to hold onto the WiFi signal.  The new iteration of the Aruba software was uploaded (just one week ago) and the WiFi has been much more stable.  We also had one of our instruments that just would not accept the username/password combination from RALS.  After much ado and two new motherboards- that device is being replaced by Werfen.
As for updating the operator list- if you have made a change in your operator list, and your WiFi is stable, running the EQC will prompt the configuration update, and the change will be made on the analyzers.

Good Luck!  and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Also, I forgot to mention, in order for the operator list to work... once you add it to "Operator/Device Parameters" (magnifying glass) in Telcor, you have to fill in the Password field, unlike the glucometers and most instruments. Copy your "Code" field (first line. - badge#) and fill that in. For Supervisors change the "Authority Level" to 1 (regular users will be an authority level of 4).

That sounds like a Telcor specific requirement.  I have no experience with that platform.

We have Telcor as our Middleware. This is a Telcor issue. You need to contact Telcor's Tech support. According to Telcor, they have developed a Patch to solve this issue.  Although, there is no telling when their Patch is going to get released.

RALS also has had some issues with the GEM100s - also corrected in the new version.  I hope your Telcor patch does not come with a 4-6 hour downtime like my middleware upgrade!

Thank you all so much for the advice! The tricks worked for some devices, and Telcor is pushing information to those that wont update.

If anyone else is having issues, the push via the server is done per device. They asked for all of the serial numbers affected.
