EPOC direct module to TELCOR

Hi all,
We have a number of legacy sites coming into the fold that have EPOC devices -> EDM -> TELCOR.
TELCOR has an EPOC direct module available now. If we switch to this and cut out EDM, are we giving up any important functions?
Wondering if anyone has tried this yet, and what your results were.
Thanks!

We use the direct module with Telcor. You can call me with any questions if you like at 314-864-5656.

Please share any and all issues or challenges with the direct Epoc to Telcor interface experienced. I believe there are a lot of system looking at making this specific move currently, mine included.
Thanks
With the direct module, you configure the meters through a link in QML, called epoc configuration. You can customize different panels depending on location, set your reference and critical ranges, units, sample types, etc.
It was a bit of a learning curve when we first started creating the panels, but it works well with QML (shows the iQC failures). Our bigger struggles were getting it in the chart because we have Cerner, not Epic.
Hope that helps :)
With the direct Epoc to Telcor interface, are you aware if you *HAVE* to create panels within the system? What happens when a user selects a combination of tests that is not a defined pre-built panel?
We currently have our Epocs setup to default test panels but they have the ability to perform any test combination desired and it will upload into the EMR and bill appropriately. All Epoc tests are available options.... My Lab IS specialist is the best!
I'm guessing that if it currently works to send any combo of tests downstream and your HIS can decipher it, then I would think it would continue to do that but I can't say for sure. That was a limitation with Cerner, so it forced us to create specific panels. What QML sends over has to match what we build in Cerner, heavy sigh!
We are both lucky, our Lab IS and our network staff are terrific here too!!
Yes that sounds very familiar now that you say that. We were on Cerner but moved to Epic a few years ago. I recall my Lab IS stating it wasn't really possible to setup this way: *any test combination* was not possible with Cerner but with Epic it was. Thanks!
