Abbott i-STAT BHCG Discontinuation

Good morning,
It was brought to our attention that the Abbott i-STAT BHCG cartridges will be discontinued, and last shipments going out September 2025. Has anyone decided yet, or have ideas, of replacement testing? We have a FreeStanding ED that doesn't have much additional table-top space, so looking for a small instrument to add it to.
Thank you!

As a Point of Care sales specialist, the only option I've found it the FastPack. It isn't as small as the i-STAT, but is the only POC option I currently know of.

We're having them send to lab instead.

Fisher has BHCG waived kits if you're open to that.

Thank you both so much for these suggestions!

When cartridges went on back order last June, we had to move all iSTAT BhCG orders to either POC urine preg tests or a lab serum. Even though iSTAT BhCG is moderate complexity, we do not do moderate serum preg at POC due to needing a centrifuge.

We looked at the AdexusDx hCG test which uses whole blood, but decided it was a step backwards in terms of being a non-analyzer-based test.  It is a cassette so it would have to be manually timed, resulted, etc...  I think our plan is to go back to sending samples to the lab.
