Avox 4000 LQC with Telcor

We are interfacing our Avox's to Telcor. Can anyone share how liquid QC is configured? We are ok with the opticals but are stumped on how to get the liquids to indicate pass/fail. Thanks!

Hi Anita - it's not possible to have pass/fail status display on the device itself - one of its many limitations. All you can do is configure the actual lot numbers so the data can be tagged and filed to the middleware as LQC as opposed to a patient, but that's it. You also cannot configure it to require LQC, only the EQC (filters). If you have the AVOX enabled as "QML Configures QC" in Telcor, the QC will flag as out of range in Telcor, but not on the device.
Thank you, James. We did not have that enabled.
it's a decent machine for what it does, but there doesn't seem to be any interest in enhancing its features to bring it more up to speed with modern POCT expectations.
Exactly. They're discontinuing the 4000, saying you can use the 1000, but that doesn't offer Met. They're basically forcing the GEM 7000, which no doubt seems to be really good, but we'd have to re-think several platforms and workflows and we are just not in a place to do that at the present time.
