To all,
What does anyone use for a quick Hgb/HCT in an active bleed situation?
I have used the HemoCue before but that was over 20 years ago.
Is there anything new out there for this?
Thanks.

I think Hemocue is probably still the best thing going for a quick, measured value, if that's the only test you need. For other devices, unless it has a cooximeter, it's going to be a calculated value based on conductivity, and not 100% reliable, especially when patients are receiving various infusions.
Same - we use the Hemocue.
