Alphanumeric QC values in Telcor QML

Good afternoon,
Our healthcare system uses Telcor QML Middleware for the majority of our POCT. Our Clinitek Status+ has historically never interfaced through QML, but instead utilizes RapidComm to send results to the patients' EMR (Epic). Clinitek QC is only recorded by instrument printouts and paper log. We are in the process of interfacing our Clinitek QC to QML, but have hit a roadblock due to the alphanumeric values of our Dipper QC. Our Telcor Project Manager is trying to ask around how other facilities are interfacing their QC, but he has not had much luck yet. He says in Telcor, it is an all-or-nothing approach to the QML values -- either all has to be qualitative, or all quantitative. Can't be "alphanumerics". Does anyone have any insight with a similar situation? Thank you kindly!

This is something you do need to keep in mind but are probably already used to doing. You will need to program the new ranges in the Clinitek each new lot. We do not enter QC values in QML since the instrument communicates pass/fail.
Not sure if this was helpful.
I did not setup our interface, so can't help much with how it was done, but I know that it can be!
We have had our Cliniteks interfaced with QC and patients since we got them. Results show in QML if they passed or failed and will show both alpha and numeric values. The only thing you can't do is pull LJ charts for the analytes that have alpha characters. Let me know if you need other info.
