Hoping someone can guide me as to why the device starting that any patient that is ran is an Invalid PID. Is there a setting that can be adjusted on the actual device or is this something through the configuration application? Thank you.

I would recommend calling Werfen Technical support to sort this out.

You need to check your server connection....Check another Hemochron, if available....it may be the analyzer or even the scanner window needs to be cleaned. Those come to mind at "first glance."

It may have to do with your barcode settings if scanning this or how the PID field is configured.  I know we can edit the PID length and barcode settings in CCM if you have that program.  I agree that Werfen Tech Support should also be able to assist further.

In addition to the other suggestions. Some clarifying questions to consider. Is this a new device type or new device? Do you use other devices that recognize patient ID when scanned? If so, are the same types of barcodes used for devices? Is this affecting all HemoChron 100 devices or just certain ones? Are you devices connected to a Middleware? If connected to middleware, confirm your device configuration settings in the middleware are correct. Is the device configuration for that device setup to allow the correct patient barcode, patient ID length, etc.

TURNS OUT IT HAS TO DO WITH UPDATING ADT MAPPING. It is something that has to be monitors sometimes. Moved the device and now it works fine again.
