Siemens epoc QC Monitoring

Good afternoon,
Our institution chose to monitor QC errors on the Siemens epoc as a quality metric. We based our acceptable limits on historical Abbott iSTAT data, which the epoc replaced.
Unfortunately, we are finding that our end users are not yet able to meet this metric. We are curious to hear if others are doing the same, and if so what is your threshold, or is anyone perhaps monitoring another aspect of this test method.
Appreciate your valued insight!
Sincerely,
Gina Smith - UNC Health Chapel Hill POC Supervisor

For the Epoc, we monitor card rejection rate with a threshold of 10%. When we are above this, most of the time we see it is user errors and provide an inservice and rates come back in range. There was once when we had to get a reader replaced due to iQC.
