assistance with heparin response curve for hemochron

Hi all,

I had a hemochron that had to go out for service and our SOP says to perform a heparin response curve after major maintenance. Does anyone have any SOP's or suggestions on how to perform that?

Thanks,
Krista

Ask you company (Hemochron) of their procedure. It is can be found in the instrument operator’s manual.

I have the instructions that they gave me when they installed our Hemochron SE instruments.

They will also do it for you...for a fee.

It's a pretty fun study to complete every six months :)

Tip: The heparin used to spike the samples should be the same type that your patients are on (obtain from your pharmacy).
