Proficiency Testing for different ACT cartridge types

For those of you who perform both ACT-LR and ACT+ testing on a single testing platform, do you do proficiency testing on both cartridge types?  We use the Gem Hemochron 100 instrument and began with only the ACT-LR cartridges, and did proficiency testing on these.  Now the providers have requested to add ACT+ cartridges for our EP Lab and we are ready to go live with these additional cartridges now.  I was thinking I would need to subscribe to another proficiency testing program for these ACT+ cartridges, but not sure since they both are technically ACT testing if that would be necessary.  We are a CAP accredited facility.  I did submit a question to CAP, but while awaiting their response I figured I would see what other facilities are doing in regards to this.  My email is aholland@catawbavalleymc.org if you would prefer to respond via email.  Thanks!

We are doing PT testing for both cartridges at my facility. We are also CAP accredited.

We subscribe to proficiency testing for both LR and HR.  We are CAP accredited.

We have the Sig Elite, do both LR and + cartridges and we are CAP.  We do the LR for the PT survey and the + on the Quality Check that CAP offers.,

We asked this question to CAP and this was the response.

For ACT testing the requirement is to report PT for the analyte one time on one survey. It is not a requirement to enroll in surveys for both ACT LR and ACT+.
You may perform alternative assessment on the ACR+.
An option would be Quality Crosscheck CT3Q for the ACT+.

We are also CAP accredited and we run both LR and plus cartridges.  We subscribe to 2 different proficiency kits as the 2 tests are like comparing apples to oranges.  We have a hard time meeting the CAP reg COM,04250 as checking the 2 cartridges against each other is like just that apples and oranges and they never compare close enough.  If I ever get "dinged" I have my rebuttal ready.

We are TJC and run both ACT+ and ACT-LR on the GEM 100s. We do subscribe to proficiency programs for both- the operators are different groups of people. CT2 and CT3- and also the CT2Q and CT3Q for quality crosschecks.

Is there anybody out there that will be willing to share their POCT Org Chart with me. Can you please email me at alma.calzadoknudson@enloe.org

Sincerely,
Alma

I have attached our chart.  We are a bit different from most.  We have 2 Medical Directors (2 locations) and we were able to retain some nursing Technical Consultants.
