Clinitek barcode scanner: off-brand options?

Our Clinitek barcode scanner is being held together by tape, and a new one from Siemens is wildly expensive. Rumor has it we can find one on Amazon that would be compatible with the Clinitek Status+. Does anyone know of a product that works? If you are a Siemens rep, please look the other way. lol

Siemens doesn't need to look the other way, they need to make the scanner more affordable. Hopefully their next version of the device will have an onboard scanner!
