RSV testing for adults

The BIOFIRE SPOTFIRE RST Mini Panel offers Flu A, Flu B, SARS-C0V-2, RSV and Rhinovirus using a Nasal Swab and does not have any age restrictions on RSV. It is CLIA Waived, PCR,  and offers a 16 minute TAT.  The same exact test using an Oral Swab will give you the results for Strep A, Flu A, Flu B, RSV, and Rhinovirus.

Are you looking for a CLIA waived test for any aged adult?  Most Waived automated platforms are for children or up to 19 yr. old and lateral flow kits are under 6 or over 60.  Moderately complex testing has many more options.
I really spent time last year looking to no avail!

Anita--Last fall our Urgent Cares started using Clearview RSV, CLIA waived, under 6 and over 60.  It met the need they wanted as this was the most vulnerable age groups.

The Cepheid is CLIA waived with no age restrictions. I have a file with the age restrictions for the various POC units. I'll hunt that down and send over to you.
