Urine Ketone Dipsticks

What do other institutions use for urine ketone dipsticks at their clinics? Do they use an analyzer or just manually read? We've had issues with users not QCing every day of use. How do people combat this at other hospitals/clinics?

As a CLIA waived test, it probably does not require daily QC - only "manufacturer's recommendations" must be followed. Though the same issues with user compliance would likely follow, no matter what the required frequency is. Only way to enforce compliance is move the test to an instrument such as Clinitek STATUS where you can enforce QC lockout if not performed.
