Linearity on Nova Glucose meters

Yes. I use the Nova Linearity kit.

Yes, I use the Nova Biomedical linearity kit with each new glucometer.

I will be implementing the Nova StatStrip Glucometers in the next couple of months, so I don't have a policy in place just yet.  While initial implementation requires Linearity (see attached) on all meters, Linearity or Validation is not required for additional or replacement meters (according to Nova Biomedical's Validation Recommendation - see attached).  Since the Nova Linearity Kit is $90 and only stable (once opened) for 3 months I don't believe we will.

Yes, I perform linearities on all replacement meters with the Nova linearity kit even though Nova does not require it.

Yes, I perform linearities on all replacement meters using the linearity kit.  In almost ten years I've only had one meter fail the initial linearity but passed both levels of QC............sent the meter back for replacement.

We go overboard- this process is one that I inherited and has been in place since the inception of the POC program.  
New devices have Nova Linearity AND an elevated whole blood glucose is tested 10x (precision) and glucose value is compared to the core lab.

I recently received the OK to reduce the elevated glucose result replicates down to 5.  

We do not perform Linearity on our devices as Nova doesn't require it. I questioned it at first stepping into my current roll because my last employer had me doing Linearity twice a year on all the devices in our system.
