Ionized Calcium

Is there a POC instrument that only performs Ionized Calcium?  We have a unit inquiring about Ionized Calcium as a POC test and I wasn't sure what other facilities used for this (as a single test only, no other analytes).  Currently our respiratory department runs ionized calciums on the GEM 5000 instruments.

You can use a ChemStat from werfen, but it offers other analytes too. We have learned from our providers they want the pH with the ionized calcium so all sites use the GEM5000/7000. We do have one site that uses a chemstat in their Lab for the test.

We use the iSTAT and block all the other analytes on the cartridge.  I think there's not a good solution for standalone POC.  Our institution also uses GEM5000 and iSTAT, so iSTAT was the easiest for our Ambulatory Infusion Center.

We use the ChemStat in our ER and GEM 5000 in the lab.  We have built a stand alone ICA, systemic ICA and post ICA test option- But run on the GEM 5000.

The Siemens epoc also performs an ionized calcium, but they only offer one card with a bigger test menu. It's possible to create a test battery for only that test and block all the other parameters, but the epoc is also non-waived, so there is that factor to consider.
